Jim Keegan
MS/HS History Teacher
Jim earned his BA in American History from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Since arriving in Phoenix 7 years ago, he has worked in a Title I public middle school, teaching social studies and more recently, ELA. In May 2017 he acquired his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He has mentored student teachers, sponsored numerous clubs and extracurricular organizations, led his school’s gifted program, and taught homebound students. Jim believes quality education is a birthright. He strives to serve his students according to their individual needs and relishes the chance to get to know them and their families.

Jim is a happily married father of 3. His interests include: reading history, writing and recording music with his band, following the New York Mets, and watching in amazement as his kids grow up.
