Allison Anker
Middle School Teacher
Allison is a veteran Lexis teacher and has taught students in both the lower and middle schools.  She has completed extensive training in social thinking and executive function skills and serves as both a staff and student mentor in these areas.  Allison has had experience in “looping “with her students and has also worked at Camp Talk-a-Lot, a camp for students with language, learning, and social thinking skill delays.  Allison also finds time to tutor students after school hours.

Allison received her Elementary Education Degree from Central Michigan University where she student taught in a third grade classroom.  Before coming to Lexis, Allison taught a self-contained 7th grade classroom in Laveen, Arizona.  She has extensive experience working with students with a variety of special education needs including ADD/ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.  

Allison is passionate about teaching and is committed to creating unique and positive learning experiences for all of her students.  Coming from the Midwest, Allison loves spending time outdoors in the Arizona sunshine!  She also enjoys reading, baking, and looking for new places to enjoy live music.
